Ernst Publishing Co., promoted Lisa Donahue, an industry veteran with 28 years of experience, to director of strategic accounts, title and settlement agent market. In her new role, she will build relationships with users of the company’s Settlement Agent Gateway platform and custom title solutions.
“In the wake of TRID, we have found that technology has gone from a ‘need to have’ proposition to a critical concern, especially on the title and settlement agent side of the business,” Ernst Publishing Vice President of Sales and Marketing Jan Clark said in a statement. “No one in the industry knows this business as well as Lisa does, and we’re very fortunate to have her on our team. Putting her into this new position will allow her to help the companies that desperately need our solutions get the most out of them.”
Donahue joined Ernst in the fall of 2013 and is an integral part of the team implementing the technology that Ernst designed to help prevent thousands of smaller settlement agents from being forced out of the business by TRID compliance concerns on the part of lenders. Donahue is based in Pittsburgh.
“The compliance environment is so difficult right now that title and settlement agents who make a misstep can be literally forced from the business,” Donahue said. “We have the technology to allow these critically important players to offer fully compliant products and services and meet the needs of lenders who are concerned with the risk of noncompliance. I’m excited about spending my time going forward helping these companies meet today’s market needs.”
