What Federal Title & Escrow Co. is touting as perhaps the coolest function of the company's revamped Web site, www.federaltitle.com, is its real-time search functionality. Begin typing your search term next to the magnifying glass in the upper right-hand corner, and a drop-down box will appear containing a list of relevant results that updates as you type.
This greatly improved search tool makes it easier to find more information quickly, which will come in handy since Federal Title's site continues to contain hundreds of articles and resources for real estate agents, mortgage lenders and consumers.
"We were the first title company to disseminate information online, including instant guaranteed quotes for title service, and now we're expanding on what we started," said Todd Ewing, Federal Title president.
As the so-called "centerpiece" among consumers, real estate agents and mortgage lenders in any given real estate transaction, it only makes sense to develop a Web site that is the central source of information for everybody involved in a real estate transaction, Ewing added.
Ewing said he is particularly proud of the blog, which continues to grow and discusses everything from Taking Advantage of Tax Appeal to Power of Attorney Pitfalls. The blog aims to interact with consumers and professionals, Ewing added, and readers are encouraged comment.
While much has changed with the new Web site, much of what established Federal Title's Web site as the go-to resource for homebuyers and real estate professionals in the D.C. area remains the same.
For example, users may still request an instant Quick Quote or order services online. Additionally, Federal Title continues to promote its REAL Credit program, saving homebuyers as much as $2,000 on closing costs.
"Our goal was to improve the user's overall experience with Federal Title," Ewing said. "Hopefully a positive online experience will translate into happy clientele around the closing table."
