First American Financial Corp. is encouraging its employees to aid hurricane victims through donations to the American Red Cross, the company said. The company plans to provide a “substantial” matching contribution.
“All of the people affected by Hurricane Harvey, and now Hurricane Irma, are in our thoughts and prayers,” FAF CEO Dennis J. Gilmore told The Title Report. “Our immediate priority is always the well-being of our people. We marvel at the resilience of everyone in the real estate, mortgage finance and title industries in the aftermath of Harvey and are humbled by the compassion and generosity of our people.”
“First American employees are donating to the American Red Cross’ Hurricane Harvey relief efforts, and their donations will be accompanied by a substantial matching donation from First American,” Gilmore added. “We’re monitoring the situation with Hurricane Irma closely, as well, and encouraging our people to take all the appropriate precautions to stay safe.”
