W. Morris Fine, president of Investors Title Insurance Co., promoted Ryan Wainio to senior vice president North Carolina Underwriting Operations. In this new role, he will manage the North Carolina legal and underwriting team. He succeeds David Bennington, senior vice president and senior title attorney, who will remain actively involved in day-to-day underwriting and also will focus on broader policy issues and interdepartmental coordination.
According to the company’s announcement, Wainio’s valuable underwriting experience and extensive knowledge of the title insurance community make him ideally suited to lead the area at a time when Investors Title and its customers are adapting to evolving regulatory and customer needs.
Prior to joining Investors Title in 2003, Wainio was a transactional attorney with a focus on real estate, business and health care law for a firm in McLean, Va. He earned a bachelor of arts in political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1997 and Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Richmond School Of Law in 2001.
“We are confident that Ryan’s leadership will be a key factor in maintaining Investors Title’s high standards of service and innovation,” Morris Fine said.
