WFG National Title Insurance Co. added Tamara Brooks as assistant manager/Georgia underwriting counsel.
Brooks comes to WFG having practiced real estate law in Georgia for more than 12 years. She began her career handling residential real estate closings, including new construction, REO transactions and HUD. She also handled various title litigation matters.
Prior to joining WFG, Tamara worked as an underwriter with one of the nation’s largest title insurance companies, providing underwriting support for agents in residential and commercial transactions. She also provided continuing education for agents, developing training material and coordinating CLE classes. Tamara worked extensively with agents, traveling throughout Georgia providing training, forms and information in preparation for TRID and assisted agents with questions regarding Best Practices, WFG said in a press release. She also worked with the claims department and agents to help resolve claims matters.
Brooks is an active member of the National Association of Professional Mortgage Women as the director of membership for Georgia and serves on the Education Committee of Southeastern Land Title Association.
“As a direct response to the faster-than-anticipated growth we’re seeing in the Southeast, WFG is expanding the resources it makes available in the region, which includes a need for management and underwriting,” said WFG’s Clint Yarborough, senior vice president, Georgia/South Carolina manager and underwriting counsel. “I’ve worked with Tamara in the past and know firsthand she is the ideal fit for our needs. Our agents will quickly come to discover that she is a go-to resource: responsive; experienced, intelligent and pro-active. We are thrilled to finally have her on the team.”
