Investors Title Co. has named Greg Riley as its Georgia underwriting counsel. Riley’s responsibilities include maintaining underwriting guidelines and providing underwriting support and education to Georgia-based agents, Investors President Jim Finesaid in a press release.
Riley’s extensive experience in title insurance underwriting and Georgia real estate law makes him ideally suited for this role, the company said.
Prior to joining Investors Title, Riley practiced in the areas of real estate closings, estate planning and business law as an attorney and managing member at his firm, Riley Law Firm, LLC, in Duluth, Ga., and, prior to that role, as managing partner at Riley & Emert, PC, in Buford, Georgia.
Earlier in his career, Riley developed a national real estate closing, escrow and title insurance agency in Buford where he was responsible for settlement services, operations, marketing, compliance, licensing and audits. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Florida Bar, and the Atlanta Bar Association.
Investors Title Insurance Co. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Investors Title Co., a publicly held company whose stock is traded on the NASDAQ National Market. Investors Title is engaged in the business of issuing and underwriting title insurance policies and provides services in connection with tax-deferred exchanges of like-kind property.
