Agents National Title Insurance Co. announced the addition of Danielle Kaiser to its underwriting staff. Kaiser will handle underwriting duties for Indiana and the Eastern region. Also, Cheryl Cowherd has been promoted to senior underwriting counsel.
Kaiser graduated cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with dual majors in finance and economics and went on to graduate from the Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis. She worked in several positions at National Attorneys’ Title Assurance Fund Inc. from 2005-2013.
Kaiser is immediate past president of the Indiana Land Title Association (ILTA) and a past president of Title Underwriters of Indiana Inc. She is a member of the ILTA Board of Governors, chair of ITPAC, and co-chair of the government affairs committee. Kaiser is admitted to practice law in Indiana and is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
Cowherd graduated from William Jewell College with a bachelor’s degree in international relations and international business in 1988. In 1993, she received her juris doctorate from St. Louis University School of Law. She has been in the title insurance business for more than 20 years, with extensive experience in many aspects of the industry including underwriting, search, exam and escrow — both commercial and residential.
From 2000 to 2010, Cowherd worked for Chicago Title Insurance Co., both as underwriting counsel and an agency account manager. In 2010, she joined Agents National Title Insurance Co. as underwriting counsel. She is active in the American Land Title Association, the Kansas Land Title Association and the Missouri Land Title Association and currently serves on committees in all three organizations. She also teaches continuing education seminars and webinars.
