Beacon Default Management Inc., a trustee company providing non-judicial foreclosure services in the Western United States, appointed Tina Suihkonen as the company’s new president. She has held executive positions over the last 19 years, most notably as the founder, president and chief operating officer of Assured Lender Services. Other key positons were held at Old Republic Title and LandAmerica (Commonwealth Land Title/Lawyers Title).
As the pendulum swings in the commercial real estate industry, many major title insurance companies and independent trustee companies have either closed or consolidated their default service divisions. The new default services environment has created a unique strategic opportunity for Beacon to expand the company’s geographic footprint with additional executive-level members.
“Tina’s wealth of experience, industry knowledge and vision has already impacted Beacon’s ability to reach long-term objectives,” said Selina Parelskin, preceding president of Beacon. “Increasing demands from our clients led us to look for additional executive leaders. We were very fortunate to find someone of Tina’s caliber to fulfill this role. Tina has added Oregon, Idaho, Utah and Washington to the current states of California, Arizona and Nevada where Beacon is capable of servicing non-judicial foreclosures. This will add significant value to our clients. I am confident Tina is the very best person for the job and the new face of Beacon.”
The company’s commercial clients include special servicers, private equity firms, REITS, national and regional banks, credit unions, receivers, attorneys and title insurance companies. It works with Fidelity National Title, Chicago Title Insurance, First American, Old Republic, Stewart Title and other title insurance companies to provide trustee sale guarantees.
