Scarinci Hollenbeck, a regional business law firm, has expanded with the addition of two attorneys to its commercial real estate law practice. Matt Kane and Chris Dzwilewski have joined the firm as partner and counsel, respectively.
Both attorneys, as well as three paralegals who are part of their team, are based in the firm’s Lyndhurst, N.J., office. They all worked together at Schwartz, Simon, Edelstein & Celso in Whippany, N.J., before coming to Scarinci Hollenbeck.
Kane, who has been practicing law for nearly 25 years, and Dzwilewski collectively handle hundreds of real estate transactions in the course of any given year. Their practice is focused on all types of real estate transactional work, with an emphasis on representing institutional investors attempting to liquidate large portfolios of distressed real property and non-performing loans, where borrowers/owners are in mortgage default.
“When dealing with distressed real estate, it is essential that the title issues be addressed and resolved as quickly as possible so that ultimately the client can efficiently and timely dispose of the real estate, because time really is money,” Kane said in a press release.
“Bringing Matt and Chris to our commercial real estate law group is part of our overall plan to expand our offerings to meet the needs of our growing client base,” said Russell Ascher, executive director of Scarinci Hollenbeck. “We welcome Matt and his team to Scarinci Hollenbeck, and look forward to offering an even greater depth of services to the clients we represent.”
