Medina County, Ohio, is now accepting electronic documents for recording through Simplifile, an e-recording service provider.
“We’re so excited to have this new technology and to offer a more convenient, cost-effective way to record here at Medina County,” said Medina County Recorder Colleen Swedyk.
With the option to e-record, customers including title companies, banks, attorneys, lien filers and others who do business with the Medina County recorder’s office will be able to quickly prepare or scan, upload and submit land documents for recording online, instead of having to use the mail or drive to the courthouse.
“E-recording will not only be easier for our customers, but it will also improve our office efficiency and reduce overall paper and mailing expenses,” Swedyk said.
By e-recording, customers can also submit recording fees and payments to the county securely through Simplifile’s service online along with their documents, eliminating check-writing expenses and reducing payment errors.
“Our goal as an e-recording provider has always been to simplify and speed up the overall recording process, and we are thrilled to help bring that service to Medina and their recording customers both locally and nationally,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile.
