First National Title Insurance Company (FNTI) announced that it added industry veteran Sean Everest to the company’s underwriting team.
Everest learned the escrow and title examination side of the business at a direct operation in San Antonio, then spent time in the oil and gas industry and as a football coach, before returning to the title industry as underwriting counsel for a title agency in San Antonio, the company said in a press release. Most recently he was a general counsel at a real estate brokerage firm.
“The number of agents representing First National Title Insurance continues to grow along with the demand on our existing underwriting staff. We do not see this as a problem but as an opportunity to improve our outstanding service levels by adding a young, experienced lawyer to the underwriting team,” President and CEO Chris Phillips said in the release. “Sean Everest … brings a wide variety of expertise to FNTI. His knowledge of the Texas market is an essential component of our growth strategy.”
“I am excited to get back to underwriting transactions and finding solutions for the FNTI family of agents,” Everest said.
Executive Vice President George Stablein said Everest will be an excellent resource for the independent agents throughout Texas.
