First National Title Insurance Co. (FNTI) has hired Tim McDonald as risk assessment officer for its compliance team, the company announced.
FNTI said its agent base has reached the point that an additional compliance officer is needed to conduct agent audits.
“Tim will be a great asset to our staff,” FNTI President Chris Phillips said in a release. “He is a wealth of knowledge and experience and can provide support and training to our agents. Tim’s prior experience offers our agents a unique perspective that will prepare them for any Texas Department of Insurance review.
“He knows what to look for and how to prepare the agents for their annual audit,” Phillips added.
McDonald has more than 21 years of title insurance experience, including 15 years with the Texas Department of Insurance and six years with a title agent. He is a Texas-licensed CPA with an undergraduate degree in accounting as well as two graduate degrees in business administration and accounting. Prior to working in the title industry, McDonald served more than two decades in the Air Force.
