Orlando Lucero was recently installed as president of the New Mexico Land Title Association (NMLTA).
Affectionately known as “bow tie guy,” Lucero is vice president and New Mexico State underwriting counsel for Fidelity National Title Group in Albuquerque.
He has been active with NMLTA since 2004 and previously served on the board from 2006 to 2008. Lucero has served on the board since 2014 and is active in the Legislative Committee and the Rules, Rates and Forms Committee, and was chair of that committee in 2015 and 2017.
Nationally, Lucero is an active member of the ALTA Native American Lands Committee. Through his involvement in the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, he leads a small working group which provides comments to the ALTA Forms Committee on the latest versions of the owner and lender policy forms.
