Napa County, Calif. electronically recorded closing documents for the first time with DPS, a nationwide recording company.
“DPD is always looking for ways to speed up the recording process for our customers,” DPS Director of Operations Rich Sherman said. “Electronically recording in Napa significantly reduces the time it takes to record documents from hours to minutes.”
Napa County is the 23rd jurisdiction to eRecord in the state of California. Counties nationwide are implementing eRecording because of its efficiencies which reduce the time and effort it takes to record documents. It also makes it more convenient and cost effective for counties’ recording customers to submit documents online.
