The Advantage Group, title insurance and related real estate services provider, appointed Drew Steigler as executive vice president and chief underwriting counsel of its flagship company, Advantage Title. He will be responsible for handling complex commercial and residential real estate transactions across the New York metro area and the nation.
“The appointment of a counsel with such depth of experience underscores our commitment to excellent service,” The Advantage Group President and CEO Joseph Willen said. “Today’s real estate transactions are more complex than ever. With the addition of Drew, our five in-house attorneys form the finest legal team in the industry. We’re able to provide our clients the resources of a national underwriter with far more personalized service.”
Steigler joins from Zodiac Title Services, where he served as senior underwriting counsel responsible for transactions throughout the United States. Many of these involved the resolution of defaulted commercial mortgage backed securities.
In addition to Steigler’s New York expertise, he also is experienced in handling complex commercial transactions throughout the country, adding further depth and reach to the national capabilities of Advantage Title.
“I joined Advantage Title because of its highly respected reputation among both its industry peers and real estate professionals,” Steigler said. “The company’s foundation is rock solid, having been in business for 27 years. The culture is collaborative and collegial. In the title business, it is service that sets you apart. The service at Advantage Title is stellar. My goal is to share my knowledge and experience, gained from many years of underwriting real estate transactions in New York and numerous other states, as a part of one of the highest caliber teams in the industry.”
