Westcor Land Title Insurance Co. announced the promotion of Scott Chandler to chief operating officer, effective immediately. As chief operating officer, he will oversee the operating divisions of the company’s core business to include regional operations, Westcor’s National Agency Division as well as the company’s Lender Services Division.
Chandler also will continue his leadership responsibilities for Westcor’s recently acquired title search company, Realty Data Company (RDC). He will report directly to President and CEO Mary O’Donnell.
Chandler, who joined Westcor in 2006, has served in various capacities. In his most recent role as executive vice president/director of agency he was charged with the management and growth of all regional and national operations.
“Scott has a great mix of leadership, operational experience and passion for our employees,” O’Donnell said in a press release. “His experience will be invaluable as we continue to grow.”

Chandler has been in the title insurance industry since 1983, working in leadership roles with various national underwriters. He joined Westcor as vice president –Western regional manager, opening the Western Regional Office in Denver. He grew the regional operation, starting with three employees servicing title agencies mostly in Colorado, Utah and Nevada, to a hub office with oversight of the Mid-West, Texas and Mountain Region offices.
Westcor now is licensed in 48 states plus D.C. and has more than 1,200 independent title agents.
