Two counties have announced that they have made eRecording available, St. Lucie County, Fla. and Custer County, Neb. Customers including title companies, banks, attorneys and lien filers will be able to electronically submit documents to the clerk’s office and have them recorded in minutes.
“We’re pleased to offer this service to our customers and provide them with a more convenient, secure online recording option,” St. Lucie County Clerk of the Circuit Court Joseph Smith said. “It’s easy-to-use and help eliminate paper and mailing expenses. It’s a win-win for the clerk’s office and for our document submitters.”
“Custer County Register of Deeds decided to use eRecording as it is one more step we can take to modernize our processes that affect our customers,” Register of Deeds Connie Carroll said. “Technology is here and we want to be part of that progression, offering the ease and quickness of filing documents.”
“eRecording streamlines the recording process for counties and their customers,” Simplifile President Paul Clifford said.
