General Title Insurance Co. (GTIC) has hired industry veteran Dan Oliver as its Indiana underwriting counsel, the company announced.
Oliver is a former title company owner who also has worked for the title insurance division of the Indiana Department of Insurance.
“We are delighted to have Dan help us facilitate our statewide underwriting issues in Indiana,” GTIC President Rob Holman said in a release. “He will help elevate our underwriting accessibility to our growing number of agencies within the state.”
Prior to joining GTIC, Oliver served as an underwriting counsel for several national title insurance underwriters. He also operated an Evansville, Ind., title insurance agency. At the Indiana Department of Insurance, Oliver served as a senior examiner and eventually as director of the Title Division.
“Dan Oliver is a professional title underwriter with some of the best credentials in the industry,” Holman said. “We are very fortunate to have him and we are confident that our agents will be the direct beneficiaries of his great work.”
