Pioneer Technology Group (PTG) announced Benchmark Court Management System received CAPS approval for online case file collaboration. Benchmark became the first system approved for live, online court case management in the state of Florida.
As courts convert from paper files to digital systems, online access to court information extends beyond the general public. Online access and case management now includes all stakeholders in the process such as prosecutors, public defenders, probation officers and the judges themselves.
The Benchmark case management system from Pioneer Technology Group received Court Application Processing System (CAPS) approval from the Florida Office of the State Courts Administrator (OSCA). It became the only CAPS approved court case management system in the state.
The approval means that OSCA confirmed the Benchmark system satisfied all necessary system requirements, and can be used immediately as an authorized web component for case file access. The system provides real time online collaboration between the clerk of court, judges, public defenders, the department of corrections, attorneys and other case stakeholders and qualified parties.
Pioneer has also recently converted or signed agreements to install the company’s Benchmark case management system in courts in Ohio, Kansas, Alabama and Georgia. The company is now also active in New York, New Hampshire, Virginia, Maryland, Michigan and Utah as the result of the introduction of its new official records system, Landmark, and the expansion of the company’s secure title insurance document system, YourDox.
“We’re very pleased with this CAPS approval,” said Steve Rumsey, president of PTG. “This is further proof that Pioneer is focused on keeping our customers and courts at the forefront of case management innovation. The CAPS approval is the direct result of the input and support we have received from courts and the judiciary, and responding to our customers has been the key to our growth and success in Florida, as well as in the multiple new states and markets where we are now active.”
