The Fund, Florida’s premier bar-related title services provider appointed John Simmons as president and chief executive officer of Attorney’s Title Insurance Fund Inc. (ATIF). He served as interim president and chief executive officer since March 2013.
Simmons has spent the past 30 plus years dedicating his career to the title and legal fields. He began his career at a national underwriter’s direct operation in Rockville, Md., and later served as a title plant manager in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Simmons was also an active Fund title agent in Boca Raton, Fla., for 13 years prior to starting his career at The Fund in Orlando. He joined the company on the DoubleTime Team and was promoted to enterprise product manager. Simmons later served as an ATIF Vice President focusing on IT, marketing and new initiatives.
He is quite passionate about The Fund’s mission. “Supporting, facilitating and promoting the real estate practices of Fund Members are part of my DNA,” Simmons said. “Not competing with our members is a core value of The Fund.”
Simmons is committed to working closely with Attorney’s Title Fund Services and Old Republic Title to provide excellent support to Fund members. He said, “Together we are building The Fund of the future.”
Simmons was raised in St. Thomas, VI. He received his bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Maryland and his J.D. degree from the American University-Washington College of Law. He is actively involved in industry activities such as ALTA, FLTA and the Real Property Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar.
