ManoJ Purohit joined North American Title Insurance Co. (NATIC) as state agency manager for its Great Lakes region, handling Minnesota, Wisconsin and Illinois. He has a 28-year background in the mortgage lending, title and title technology industries and has worked for two of the top national title insurance underwriters.
“Manoj has a unique background that blends underwriting and technology,” NATIC National Sales Manager Rich Griffin said. “As our industry embraces the changes of the new TRID/RESPA Integrated Disclosures and American Land Title Association Best Practices, it will be an asset to NATIC’s agents to have a partner such as Manoj who understands how to streamline processes and leverage the tech side of the business. I’m excited to see the results when he is able to get out into the Midwest marketplace.”
His career included sales positions at a number of technology and title technology companies, in addition to working as an agency representative for two major underwriters. He also served as president chief executive officer of a settlement services company in New Jersey, where he managed all aspects of daily operations.

In addition to his sales career, Purohit served as a sergeant in the Army National Guard for nine years. He was a combat reconnaissance scout and received several commendations, including the National Defense Service Medal. His education includes course studies in computer programming at Rutgers University and the Chubb Institute.
In the Southeast region, including North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia, Mark Hungate was appointed state agency manager. He has almost 25 years of experience with of experience with companies in the mortgage insurance, appraisal and title/settlement industries handling sales, operations and management responsibilities.
“With his 20-plus years in the mortgage industry, Mark will provide an outstanding value to our agents in helping them grow their business,” Griffin said. “I have known Mark for 15 years of his well-rounded career and he has always excelled at anything he has done.”
Hungate most recently served as vice president of national sales for an appraisal management company (AMC) offering title insurance products, settlement services and default management services. He previously worked for another AMC, for a default management services company for one of the Big Four title insurance companies, and for 13 years, for the mortgage insurance subsidiary of that same company.
“The companies I’ve worked for in my nearly 25 years in the mortgage industry have provided title services, mortgage insurance and appraisal management services,” Hungate said. “Because I’ve worked in both sales and operations on both the servicing and the origination sides of the business, I have the tools that can help provide solutions for the problems our agents face.”
Hungate holds a Bachelor of Science degree in management from West Virginia University. He is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association, the Texas Mortgage Bankers Association, the Mortgage Bankers Association of the Carolinas, and was a member of the HASP and the HARP committees for Mortgage Insurance Companies of America (MICA).
